Originally from Argentina, Andrea Doseff received her doctoral degree in Genetics at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and State University of New York. She has been at OSU since 1998, and is now an assistant professor in the Department of Molecular Biology and the Department of Internal Medicine. Dr. Doseff’s research involves elucidating the molecular and biochemical mechanisms of cell death and survival during innate immunity and cancer, concentrating on different signal transduction pathways that control apoptosis. The group has recently begun to study the mechanisms of action of natural compounds with potential anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory properties.
